Matt was born in Grand Island, Nebraska and grew up in Holdrege, Nebraska. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2003. Matt then earned his law degree with a certificate in Business Transactions, from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2007. After law school, Matt clerked both in private practice and for the University of Nebraska Foundation. Matt joined the firm in 2008 and is licensed to practice in both Ohio and Nebraska. In 2008, Matt became a member of the Ohio Bar Association, Nebraska State Bar Association, US District Court of Nebraska, US Tax Court, and US Court of Appeals 8th Circuit. Matt is also involved with Kiwanis of Hastings. Matt’s areas of practice are business planning, corporations/partnerships/LLCs, wills and probate, trusts and estates, real estate transactions, section 1031 like-kind exchanges and contract negotiating and drafting.
