Lisa grew up in Fullerton, Nebraska, and graduated with distinction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.  She received her J.D. with high honors from the Florida State University College of Law in 1995, where she was an associate editor of the Florida State University Law Review and a member of Order of the Coif.  After graduation, she practiced for two years at a large firm in Tallahassee, Florida, where her practice areas included insurance regulatory law and commercial real estate transactions.  In 1997, she joined the faculty of the University of Idaho College of Law, where she taught legal writing and research.  She returned to Nebraska in 2000 and joined the firm.

Lisa’s practice areas include personal injury law, insurance defense, and civil litigation. She served on the Federal Practice Committee of the U.S. District Court, District of Nebraska from 2004 to 2006.  In 2008, she was appointed to the Supreme Court Advisory Committee to the Nebraska State Bar Association.
